New Member Starter

Are you new to the club? Trying to meet others to play with? Below are several great ways to get you started.

We hold New Member Orientations each year at our club for our new members to pick up their entry fobs (allowing access to the courts) and to play and meet other new members. This event is for new members only. This is an opportunity for new members become familiar with the club, and to have evaluations of playing level for those who ask. Board members are encouraged to attend.

  1. Determine your level of play – If you don’t know it already, by using Tennis Canada’s self rating guide: Player rating guide
  2. Update your profile on the booking portion of the website under ‘Player Connect’ in the second menu box beside the ‘Tennis Court Booking’ menu. Make sure your contact details are correct. Update your profile with details of your level and type of play preference and times you are available.
  3. Check out the ‘Find a Game’ or ‘Post Game Wanted’ tab on the booking portion of the website. Follow the prompts to scan relevant information or add your own.

Doubles groups are always looking for substitutes and filling in for injured players or those on holiday etc, is a great way to get to know people at the club.

Hopefully through these methods you will start to get some invitations to play. Some groups will be a ‘fit’ some won’t, either way you will find games and value for your membership.
